Hey guys! I decided to do this makeover tutorial with some new powders I got in my recent haul.
Okay, so to get this look you will need:
- Dermacos D5 & D66 Camouflage cream foundation
- Cream blush
- Purple shimmer eyeshadow
- Nude/Peach shimmer eyeshadow
- Liquid Eyeliner in Black
- Eyelash curler from Shu Uemura (1 of the best)
- Maybelline Volume Express Waterproof Mascara
- White pencil eyeliner for tear ducts
- MAC blush – Coppertone
- Dark red lipstick
- Victoria’s Secret Lipgloss in Slice of Heaven
- Cosmo Prof Academy Brushes
An eyelash curler can seem like a scary instrument of torture, but it’s really easy to use once you get the hang of it. In addition to a lash curler (see our reviews of the best eyelash curlers), you will need an eyelash primer, and mascara.
- Start by crimping your eyelashes with an eyelash curler. If this is the first time you’ve used a curler, just know that your lashes go on the little rubber pad in between the crimping part. You want to get the curler as close to your lash line as possible but without pinching your eyelids. Then give the curler a firm squeeze for a count of 10 seconds. Release and move the curler to half way up the length of your eyelashes. Crimp them again for a count of 10 seconds. Then release the curler and remove them from your eyes. Make sure you’ve completely released your lashes from the curler before pulling away! This is the first step because using a lash curler on eyelashes with mascara on them can make the mascara flake off. The mascara would also get stuck on your curlers and clog them up with gunk real fast. If you do have to curl your eyelashes after applying mascara, make sure you don’t tug or pull as this would chip off the mascara.
- Next, you will want to apply a primer to your eyelashes. Sometimes lash primers are referred to as mascara primers, either way they are the same. Some good primers are Urban Decay, Clinique, and Blinc. The primer will help your mascara stay on all day so you don’t have to reapply your makeup while you’re out or at work. Wait 30 seconds after applying for the primer to dry completely. Then apply your mascara.
- Finally, apply your mascara as normal. Pull the wand from the base of your lashes to the tip while rotating the wand. You’ll want to do your top eyelashes first and it might be easier to apply in sections. Wait for your top eyelashes to dry first and then apply a light coat to your bottom lashes. Wait for one coat to dry before reapplying..
